The Deputy Director of Employment and Training Service has come to close to Alhama Employment Workshop "Cerro del Castillo" (22/12/2009)

A grant by the SEF has allowed various actions are addressed throughout the whole year 2009 and part of 2008 in our town.

Rafael Olivares, deputy director of the Employment Service and Training, John Romero, Mayor and Councillor for Employment and Local Development, José López Núñez, closed this morning the employment workshop started in December 2008, which has allowed employees 30 people for a year.

The grant for the workshop has increased to 490,550 euros, of which € 312,378 on salaries for student workers, 139,378 to pay for instructors and director, and € 38,352 are for the purchase of materials for training.

The above amount must be added the contribution made by the city of Alhama of 200,000 euros in investment and materials to complete the works included in the draft Employment Workshop.

The project director listed the three specialties that had made the workshop, while punctuated most relevant interventions undertaken by each of them among the multitude of actions taken.

Thus, focusing on the archaeological site of Cerro Castillo, which gives its name to the workshop, which aids students have completed the study archeology, excavation and restoration of the northern sector "The paleros", commonly called "bunker."

On the other hand, made mention of the various works undertaken by the Contractors Workshop, which highlighted the expansion of the Occupational Center "Las Salinas", opened on Friday 18 December.

To finish the painting workshop and multiple interventions: painting Guadalentín Athletics track, Paseo de los Martires Garden of Calvary, Municipal Library, Occupational Center, City Hall, Senior Center ... etc.

Rafael Olivares congratulated all after showing his satisfaction with the results obtained by the workshop, encouraged at all times to students in job search, aim to achieve after the completion of this project as he expressed aims to provide career opportunities for participating students.

At the ceremony were present the workshop participants: 24 students, four monitors, a site manager and director as well as representatives of the Employment Service of the town and members of the Local Employment Centre.

At the end, made the presentation of certificates to the student-workers.
