Occupational Center Las Salinas has been expanded through the work of the Workshop on Employment (18/12/2009)

A building with two classrooms for workshops and the pavement of an existing ride has been the contribution of the employment workshop for Occupational Center Las Salinas.

The new space was opened this morning by the Director of Employment and Training Service (SEF) of the Region of Murcia, Ginés Martínez González, alcalde de Alhama, Juan Romero Canovas.

Also present were Fina García Romero, Councillor for Social Policy and José López Núñez, Councillor for Employment and Local Development.

The extension of "Las Salinas" saw its beginning in 2007 with the PIT Employment Workshop, to end the workshop "Cerro del Castillo", between December 2008 and December 2009, both projects supported by the SEF and European Social Fund.

The main work has involved the construction of 2 classrooms and workshop of 45 m², 2 dressing rooms adapted for disabled, 1 adapted toilet, 1 store cleaning, sidewalks outside the building, enclosure of simple metal fence dividing torque and envelope.

In all the work, this has been very easy accessibility, eliminating all barriers.

Prior to these works, the number of students in Vocational Centre was 15.

With the extensions, this number has risen to 20, and still be able to continue to grow as it is open enrollment period.

This increase in students and facilities has enabled the creation of a job over to a caretaker.

Occupational Center "Las Salinas", dependent on Social Policy, is a free municipal appeal was launched in May 1995.

Since then they have carried out different activities, but always with the same goal: enabling the development of employment, personal and social development of people served to overcome the obstacles that the disabilities are assumed in their social integration.

Its main objective is the promotion and implementation of all activities contribute to improving living conditions and ensure full integration into family, social and labor as well as the development of a normal life of people with disabilities.

Since the objective of global integration and full of people with disabilities in society, the occupational center working under three main lines of action: training and employment, personal and social autonomy, and leisure.

Five programs are in development activities:
