Jesus Basauri, Councillor for Sports, presented this morning to the media program from the Department organized activities for the students of our district.
Commented City Councillor's concern for providing alternative leisure and sports entertainment to the world of video game consoles and computers converge among schoolchildren.
The proposed targets are intended for children, while acquiring sports skills, adopt healthy habits, develop self-esteem, and to integrate socially while having fun and having fun.
The project, developed in non-school hours, has the presence of nine experts monitors, and is overseen by the School Sports Council, composed of one representative from each school plus two representatives of the Sports Department.
The proposed program will involve the following activities:
For Third Cycle:
Basketball, from 14 November to 19 December.
Athletics first week in January and February.
Handball: January and February.
Futsal: March and first week of April.
Volleyball, in May.
Hockey and rugby, in specific sessions.
For Second Cycle:
There will be a MATE league in January, February and March.
For First Cycle:
Are planned to perform one or two specific activities.
The mayor thanked all schools, colleges and staff monitors their work and their collaboration to enable this project to go ahead with the expected success.
