On Sunday 11, the general director of Operations and Training Modernization of Agricultural, Ángel García Lidón, with the mayor of the municipality, Juan Romero Canovas and Councilman of Agriculture, Fernando Alfonso Cerón Morales, close of the exhibition of table grapes and Agricultural Products Guadalentín Under the House of Culture hosted from 8 October.
The show closed with the delivery of 6 awards and 6 honorable mentions.
In particular, it gave the award for Early Grape Blas García González; Award Delayed Joseph Uva Aledo Cánovas, Orange Prize for Villa Comarza; Award Lemon Angel Gambino; Award to Other Citrus Nursery and Nobel Citroplan Flores Flores Marín.
It also gave special mention to the grape Provencio Diego Cerón, bananas Elizabeth Clark, the Eagles Matthias organic grapes, tomatoes Escudier Pedro Ortega, the prickly pears of Paquita Martinez and Isabel Navarro Pumpkin .
The jury that decided the awards consisted of Alfonso Lucas, an agricultural engineer, Vincent Cánovas, agronomist, Antonio Martinez, an agronomist; Antonio Palazón, agricultural technician, Juan Fernández, an agricultural expert, Fulgencio Eagle, president of the Community of Irrigators; Francisco Peña, Antonio Valero farmer, engineer.
In another vein, the Department of Agriculture, paid homage to Carmen Segovia who since the beginning of the exhibition has been secretary of the sample.
Moreover, it is noteworthy that this year has increased both participation and the number of visits to the exhibition stand at 3,569 and, thus surpassing more than 600 people have passed through the lobby of the Casa de Cultura.
It should also be noted that this year the Department of Agriculture has encouraged the exhibition with small improvements that have provided more and better showcasing of the sample, this year, reached its 42 edition.
