The Municipal Theatre Workshop City Council AUGER Alhama de Murcia has won for the third year running, the VI Buero Youth Theatre Awards in regional phase in the Region of Murcia with the work: "The visits should be prohibited by Criminal Code, "based on texts by Miguel Mihura dramatized by Ignacio del Moral and Ernesto Caballero.
These Awards are one of the young theater events leading our country.
Sponsored by Coca-Cola Foundation Juan Manuel Sainz de Vicuna, with the support of the Ministries of Culture, Ministry of Education and Science, its importance has been increasing since the curtain rose in 2003, reaching in the latest edition participation of about 200 groups.
The awards, which pay homage to the great playwright Antonio Buero Vallejo, offer opportunities to students of schools and cultural centers of between 14 and 21 years of living his dream, creating his own theater group.
Alhameño group has represented our region in the national phase of the Awards and has received special mention for Best Actress in the person of Esmeralda Garcia Chum, who collected his award at the Gala to be held in Madrid on July 10 .
It has also been selected to participate in the Campus II Buero with another actor of the group: Diego Martínez Soria, is a campus theater training and high level of conviviality and enjoyment around the theater from 5 to July 10 2009 at the Aquinas College (Madrid).
The importance of the prize won by Esmeralda composition gives an idea of the national jury comprised of renowned personalities from the theater as Marsó Silvia, Emma Suarez, Emilio Gutiérrez Cava, Manuel Galiana, Anabel Alonso, Paloma Pedrero, etc. ..
