Alhama de Murcia have this year of a new Child Care Center (IAC), whose foundation stone laid today by the Minister for Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, which should be completed in eight months.
In this new center, situated at the cherry, it will serve 74 children between four months and three years old.
The project has been awarded 749,801 euros, of which the Autonomous Community to provide 500,000.
The building is on one level, built about 519 meters square.
The town of Alhama de Murcia currently has 215 subsidized child care spaces, about 141 are underway, while in the whole region, the total number of subsidized places to December 2008 amounted to 7944, of which 2865 are service.
For this year there are five actions planned in the cities of Cartagena, Lorca, La Union, Sewer and San Javier (AFB), which will lead to 305 new positions, which will reach the 8,249 in the region.
If this amount is added to the 389 for the Mediation Center of the Institute for Women, the total will rise to 8,638 spaces.
