Rating plenary session on Tuesday, January 22 (28/01/2009)

"The plenary session was held in extraordinary session, as it was advanced to Tuesday 22, rather than celebrated, as it is appointed for regular full, the last Thursday of each month at 21 hours. Although we have not been officially informed our group, the causes of this change of date seems to be motivated by attending FITUR (Feria de Turismo) the mayor and several councilors of municipal government. The agenda contained only three points for discussion.

On final passage of the Municipal Ordinance for the granting of operating license, the Municipal Group of IU + LV representation that is was necessary because the current dated from 1994 and did not reflect the current reality, so it was necessary to clarify the regulations is the responsibility of our City and to adapt to the new legislation.

We also put on shows that might be developed other ordinance, separately and specifically, about the occupation of public roads

As the only allegation made, from IU + Greens believe that it is a warning.

The installation on the facades of air conditioners, exhaust fans and chimneys, excessive concentration and occupancy of public space for chairs and tables on the terraces, or noise, are issues that must be seriously considered by the City Council if we reconcile the right to rest of the neighbors with business, and avoid situations of conflict.

In June last year enacted a series of measures for employment in the public domain.

The Municipal Government undertook to make, after the summer, a meeting with hoteliers and residents to assess the implementation of these standards.

IU + LV regret in that despite the lapse of time, not this meeting has taken place before this final approval.

The second issue of discussion was the Joint Motion to present the opposition groups seeking the improvement of the old road sign of Mazarrón.

Since IU + LV remember that this is an old issue that began to be debated at the City Council in 2001 that the highway trying to depart from Alhama de Mazarrón.

But the prevailing political weight in the PP and the Regional Government of the now Deputy and charged Juan Morales, on the right and the technical criteria so eventually the path of Totana.

The numbers speak for themselves, as has been invested at a rate of almost 3 million euros per kilometer on the highway, in liaison with Greek and Alhama has been used just over 1 million per kilometer.

For IU + LV no doubt this is the main cause of lower quality and deficiencies in this stretch of road split, and that makes it necessary to require the Regional Government to repair and replacement of the pavement in both directions.

The third point was the motion presented by IU + Greens condemning the war in Gaza, which was reached with the other groups a draft agreement by consensus.

Finally, in the ample opportunity for questions, we take for the municipal government to publicly explain alhameños as are the procedures of the pipeline paths and high-speed line, which is being done in the well of the ores on the refurbishment of the Garden of the Ducks, the status of the City Property Inventory and Public Roads, the rehearsal, the processing of various legal reports requested by our Group to the Secretariat on municipal powers.

And various activities associated with parks and gardens, Public Works, Traffic and Sports.

The answers were: we know nothing new, is being repaired, is pending, we're at it, we are working to find another location, and is being processed.

As for the performances are taken into account in the budgets of 2009, the research will be done when possible, etc.

+ In the United Left Greens will continue to work and trying not to fall on deaf ears.
