More than 240 luminaries in 30 sets of lights are being replaced in the municipality.
The action is framed in Alhama City Council scheduled to take care of our environment.
José Miguel Muñoz, owner of the Environment, explained this morning that is going to replace all traffic lights the torch of the municipality, including the villages.
This measure not only improves the illumination of light but also serves as energy-saving measure since it is LED light bulbs.
This type of lighting provides energy savings over 50% off no heat, they last much longer than the old bulbs and also can be recycled.
Further action against climate change
On the other hand, and 5 bases are being installed to install 10 bikes in each of them.
This is a free system to encourage bicycle use.
These bases are standing next to the factory in El Pozo, in front of City Hall, next to the pool deck, next to the Health Center and near the resort Guadalentín.
The system will be ready in about a month and has set up thanks to a grant of 100% of the Regional Agency for Energy.
In addition, another grant, this time from the Ministry of Public Works and Land Management and 75% of the total budget, will allow the installation of four new bases for another 40 bicycles.
The measure was completed with installation of parking and a study on bicycle traffic management.
