The mayor of Alhama de Murcia moved yesterday afternoon, Thursday 18, until the capital was quoted by the Minister of Development, Magdalena Álvarez, to sign the agreement by the 1% Cultural granted to the City for the restoration of the north wall of Castillo.

Along with board members and mayors of large municipalities and provinces of the Spanish, to a total of 50 projects funded by the Ministry of Development, the first mayor of the municipality signed the cooperation agreement to finance the restoration of north wall of the Castillo de Alhama which will aid of 900,000 euros for a project valued at 1,200,000 euros.

This means that this ministry will contribute 75% of the total contract budget for one of the most desirable actions by city leaders.

In 2006 the city of Alhama requested for the first time cultural 1 percent providing a project based on the restoration of the upper enclosure, including the north wall and the keep, it would make a journey through the history of the village Alhama in medieval times.

The granting of this aid be achieved until the end of the north wall of the Keep and the upper enclosure.

That is, until the highest part of the hill where stood the military zone and surveillance Guadalentín Valley.

With the planned investment will be two different performances.
