The Municipal UI + Greens presented last December 16 in the register of the City of Alhama, claims the Common Infrastructure Plan for South residential tourist development of the Municipality of Alhama de Murcia.
The Special Infrastructure Plan was approved by decree of the mayor November 26, 2006, and again on September 15 this year, without being to reply to the allegations made by Left Unity in 2006.
The spokesman for the formation of the Left, John Romero, said that this Infrastructure Plan is to justify the segmentation of land for the construction of more than 30,000 homes, which means a major impact on the environment, the population of Alhama throughout the region and the region.
According to the spokesman ecosocialist is a clear breach of the Act 9 / 2006, which introduces the concept of strategic environmental assessment, as a prevention tool, so that should have initiated environmental procedures required by this Act prior to approval initial.
Add, Romero, that this actually violates one of the objectives of this law is "the promotion of transparency and citizen participation through access to adequate time to comprehensive and reliable information of the planning process."
For IU + Greens using the figure of the Special Infrastructure Plan for a residential resort development on the magnitude of those covered, substantially alter the model municipality referred to in the General Municipal Plan of Arrangement of Alhama, and break apart principle of sustainability.
Moreover, Juan Romero, says striking contradictions that exist in this Plan, "when it passed in 2006 was considered to come under the Act 9 / 2006.

According to the spokesman for IU + LV, this assessment is incorrect, since the General Plan Municipal de Alhama Management considered the derogation provided for in the First Transitional Provision of Law 9 / 2006, having begun its processing prior to July 21, 2004.

The municipal architect himself in the conclusions of his report says, "is considered necessary Secretariat report on the origin of the Strategic Environmental Assessment."

In the one case in 2006 estimated the total area of PEI proposal 13,415,968 m2 and the construction of more than 29,000 homes which involved about 93,000 new residents.
However, in the filed in 2008 reduced the total area proposed to 12,790,167 m2 (only 625.801m2 less), while the number is estimated at 44,213 inhabitants (48,787 inhabitants less).

For all these reasons, the municipal Party IU + Greens sought to proceed with the correction of all deficiencies and rewrite the documentation for the Common Infrastructure Plan for South residential tourist development of the Municipality of Alhama de Murcia, making a new public information, on the understanding that violates the law and that therefore any process be halted until compliance with the provisions of Act 9 / 2006.
