El Castillo de Alhama and its environment, rehabilitation and enhancement is one of the priorities of the Consistory of Alhama in which has been working for years.

In its commitment to achieve this enhancement, the Youth Council devoted its field work at Castle Hill.

Young students from various parts of the world will participate in a field in which the search for archaeological remains in the Cerro del Castillo is combined with cultural visits and recreational spaces.

The IX International Working Campo Castillo de Alhama is divided into two parts daily.

In the first, from eight in the morning until one o'clock, young people, led by archaeologists carried out excavations at the Cerro del Castillo de Alhama.
