Organized by the Neighborhood Association Virgen del Rosario in collaboration with the city of Alhama, students of CP Our Lady of the Rosary have planted many trees in the garden of The Palm.
In collaboration with the departments of Parks and Gardens, Environment and Youth, about thirty students in higher grades of primary school, have planted this morning in the garden of The Palm a Dutch tila, a pomegranate and seven Bauhinia, all of them, deciduous trees that have helped beautify the municipal garden.
In particular, the Bauhinia is a species from Asia between 5 and 7 feet high with flowers in clusters similar to orchids.
This has been possible thanks to an initiative of the Neighborhood Association has claimed this would not only promote the neighborhood, but also to make children aware of the importance of caring for our environment.
The event has not missed the first mayor of the Consistory, Juan Romero Canovas that, along with other council members, has helped young people in gardening.
