Poster alhameños author of poems to commemorate the International Day of the Book (24/04/2008)

Alhama City Council these days is developing various activities to commemorate the Day of the Book.

On Wednesday afternoon 22, World Book Day, many panels were placed in different parts of town with poems by authors alhameños initiative, on the other hand, has been held in recent years.

Magdalena Blesa, María Dolores Cánovas, Mayte Alcon, Jose Maria Fernandez Luna and Jose Eduardo Valverde, all published works, met in a special day with the first mayor, Juan Romero Canovas and Councilman of Culture.

Together, they toured the various panels and each of them read out their texts.

Specifically, each author has placed the following panels: José María Fernández-Luna with wounded Heart is located at the Archaeological Center of Los Banos and Passion and death of Federico García Lorca, located in the Main Circle, Maria Dolores Cánovas, Son at the entrance of Garden of the Cuban and Destiny, in the Office of Tourism, Mayte Alcon Abellán, the richest in the cemetery located in the Garden of the Ducks and The Poet waterboy in the Plaza Vieja, Magdalena Blesa Sánchez, one day older give your hide in the Yellow House and I against me in front of City Hall and finally Jose Eduardo Valverde with his poems The Blue Bird located in the Sierra College Espuña and in the sea that is in the Plaza of the Constitution.

Also yesterday, there was a poetry reading by the alhameña Blesa Sánchez Magdalena which delighted the audience with poems from his latest book, "Me against me."

He was also accompanied by a great friend, Jerome Galián who put music to several of the poems Blesa Sánchez.

The voice accompanied him on guitar Galián Ester.

Today, following the commemoration of World Book Day with the conference entitled "Fortune tellers, voodoo healers Guadalentín Valley" by the doctor in History, Ricardo Montes Bernárdez.

Alhameños Writers

José María Fernández-Luna

Born in Alhama in 1962.

He is a member of a ceramics company, is married and has two children.

Indefatigable writer, despite being unpublished account, with three novels (It's been an angel, Lady mistress and the stages of life) and is currently working on another work of fiction: Child's play.

Poet, also keeps two unpublished books: The gatekeeper and The Tempest.

It is likewise author of a book of short stories.

The narrative Fernández-Luna reveal its strong literary foundation.

María Dolores Cánovas

Born in Alhama in 1962.

A woman is open and committed their time enjoys writing, and confesses that he has always done.

His poems are intense, direct, do not despise metaphors and poetic play.

Mayte Alcon Abellán

Began his career in the literary world at the age of eight years, writing poems, stories etc.

During the time he has participated in many events to get some reward for it.

He is currently collaborating with the Local Online weekly newspaper, and has published poems in literary group Ommi, Alcala de Henares (Madrid).

Blesa Sánchez Magdalena

Born in Puerto Lumbreras in 1970.

At seven he wrote his first poem and since then has not stopped writing.

With twelve years he moved to Alhama de Murcia, where he has since resided.

He has published poems in local and regional newspapers, and today has written two books: Things girl and I against me.

Currently he studied Philology at the University of Murcia.

José Eduardo Valverde Aledo

Born in Alhama in 1964.

In contrast to his poetic activity, he develops his career as a computer programmer.

Has estrito two books: In the Labyrinth, a story made up poems, and The Secret, a novel of intrigue and tension.
