Ms. Maria Isabel Borrego, Secretary of State for Tourism visited this morning the VI Festival in Murcia Matanza, along with D. Vicente Martinez Pujalte, her husband, and Mr. José Fuertes.
Accompanied by Francisco Rubio, organizer and creator of the Fiesta de la Matanza and Diego Conesa, Mayor of Alhama, visited and toured the tents.
Ms. Isabel Maria Borrego pointed out the importance of keeping our traditions and our culture as it is a major tourist attraction for Alhama, Murcia, Spain.
Isabel has also praised the work of Francisco Rubio, El Pozo and the City Council in this celebration of the killing.
José Fuertes has commented that joined this project created by Paco with great enthusiasm, and is very satisfied with the great success you have, and the great atmosphere that has been created.
For his part Francisco Rubio, he commented that after several years of Fiesta de la Matanza and the results are, this excited, and gives you strength to work and try to be known throughout Spain.
He also added jokingly, that like today, we have here Isabel take the opportunity to ask that "we take a pair of hands" and "not just pork."
Finally Francisco Rubio thanked the visit and invited them to enjoy this day of the Feast of the Slaughter.
