The Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Thomas Violante, met with the mayor of Alhama de Murcia, Diego Conesa.
In this municipality the Council increase the hours of psychological care are provided at the point of Specialized Care for Women Victims of Domestic Violence (PAE).
This service paid in 2015 in the town individual and group 25 women victims of abuse, which provided the support needed to enhance their social and psychological skills, and to successfully recover after their experiences treatment.
Thomas Violante referred to the protection offered by the Directorate General of Women victims, with a comprehensive, free personalized attention, for the time necessary to get out of the abusive situation from different professional approaches: legal, social and psychological .
The Minister discussed with the mayors of Alhama de Murcia the different programs that the autonomous region has developed in this field in coordination with the municipalities, including social projects supporting families and improving attention to the most vulnerable groups of people.
It also carried out projects aimed at reconciling work and family life.
