Ecologists in Action gets the stoppage of Paramount Special Plan (12/01/2016)

The First Chamber of the Superior Court of Murcia (TSJM) has issued a resolution to provisionally suspend the Special Plan Paramount promoted by PREMURSA LIFESTYLE SA is ordered.

Ecologists in Action welcomes the TSJM and attend to his request to provisionally suspend the Special Plan, requested the Dispute within the organization process initiated at the time against the final approval of the Special Plan for the tourist-recreational "Theme Park Resort Paramount "(Amended), on the basis that 25% of its surface invaded the protected area of" El Valle and Carrascoy ".

Provisionally suspend occurs by the potential damage to public or private interest which would carry out the project with the current uncertainty of the exact boundaries of protected areas involved:

- The Protected Natural Area (PNA) "El Valle Regional Park and Carrascoy".

- The Site of Community Importance (SCI) "Carrascoy-El Valle".

Ecologists in Action remembers that precisely for this reason has been calling the preparation and final approval of the Plan of Management of Natural Resources (PORN) of all protected natural areas of the region of Murcia.

It has also asked on numerous occasions to be published in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia the limits for the protected areas of the Natura 2000 network (the latter a complaint with the EU in March 2015), called spaces LIC and SPAs, and the urgent approval of Management Plans of these areas, which generates delay sanctions from the European Union.

Without adequate delimitation and order, without the official publication thereof, it is generating unnecessary legal uncertainty and easily remedied in our territory, which not only threatens the integrity of valuable protected areas in the region, but creates inadmissible for developers, investors and local and regional administrations legal uncertainty.

So much so that projects of this scale are paralyzed because of the lack of diligence of a Regional Government, which after 20 years in power with absolute majority has been unable to approve the necessary management plans, management plans and limits clear and definitive of protected areas.

Therefore, Ecologists in Action urges the Regional Government to date is put on preparation and final approval of all plans and rules governing the protected areas in the Region of Murcia, and thus end this unnecessary legal uncertainty that It is threatening both the integrity of valuable natural areas such as the legality of projects and investments.
