Alhama de Murcia hosts the exhibition'Naturaleza construida' within the project'Itinerarios' Culture (14/02/2015)

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities and the City of Alhama de Murcia have organized the exhibition "Nature built ', which will be displayed in the Archaeological Museum of the Baths until next April.

The exhibition, which is offered to municipalities in the region within the project 'Routes', consists of works of eight artists and belong to the collection of the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts (ICA).

The general director of ICA, Marta Lopez-Briones, who inaugurated the exhibition yesterday with the mayor of the municipality, Fernando Alfonso Ceron, thanked "the participation of Alhama de Murcia in this project promoted culture that is making the halls and museums across Region embrace contemporary art exhibitions quality and that all citizens can enjoy through the different collections that are being offered to municipalities, construction of the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts ".

This is the second exhibition after the 'Enigma and fold' in San Pedro del Pinatar to open in the second phase of the project 'Routes'.

More than 18,000 people visited the first seven samples held in Cartagena, Lorca, Puerto Lumbreras, Ceuta, Murcia, Las Torres de Cotillas and Ojós, and more municipalities will soon appear in its halls collections of contemporary art.

On this occasion, are shown in Alhama de Murcia different pieces in which its creators invite the audience to reflect on the nature and his artificial hand.

There are paintings, photographs and installations by authors such as Miguel Angel Campano, Codesal Javier Nunez Gasco or Fernando Sinaga, one of the most prominent Spanish artists.

The tour of this exhibition begins with 'L'Ofre', an oil on the Mallorcan mountains with which Miguel Angel Campano reviews the pictorial tradition of capturing on canvas nature.

Photographs of Codesal, the 'Monte lost' series, talk about memory and absence, while those of Eduardo Nave and Juan Millás are some of the images made during an intense four-year journey back roads and they collected in the 'Peninsula' project.

Núñez Gasco also speaks of the end of the idea of ​​nature through its 'Still Life'.

Meanwhile, Saelia Aparicio played with the idea of ​​library installation-sculpture 'Universal Encyclopedia' and Fernando Sinaga makes a reflection on how is conditioned our view of nature in his piece 'The alpine throat'.

The exhibition 'Nature built' ends with 'The natural route', a set of ten works with the Mexican artist Jonathan Hernández covers topics like the model and its dual, the original and the copy.

The Archaeological Museum of the Baths of Alhama, where the exhibition will remain open until April 5, can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 to 13:30 and 17:00 to 20:00 and Sundays from 10:00 to 14:00 hours.
