Communication and public education, protagonists of the first Training day of the PSOE in Alhama (28/01/2015)

The socialist candidate for mayor, Diego Conesa, was in charge of presenting and moderating an act that has enjoyed the presentation by Professor Arturo Merayo Communication and Former Director General of Evaluation and Regional Cooperation of the Ministry of Education, Rosa Peñalver

This took place on Saturday 24 Training day for the first components of the electoral list of the PSOE in Alhama.

The event, held at the Marquicos Restaurant, has attended numerous members and supporters.

Our Secretary General and candidate for mayor, Diego Conesa, noted in the presentation that "we are fulfilling one of the initial commitments we made with neighbors: having well-trained councilors".

Stressed the importance of such training in three levels: individual acquire knowledge, nurture and grow the group, and apply those skills to help improve the lives of our neighbors.

The first half has been a communication training given by Professor Arturo Merayo, who explained that in politics "communication is not optional, but an essential part".

Merayo showed attendees the importance of preparing well the speech for transmission to the public in an effective manner.

It has also assessed very positively to a political grouping of a locality as Alhama invest time and resources in training their members to better perform their duties at City Hall, which is rare.

In the second part, Rosa Peñalver, Director General of Evaluation and Regional Cooperation of the Ministry of Education between 2008 and 2012, gave the keys on the current situation in education at regional and local level.

Peñalver stressed that in Alhama have done things upside down with the PP, spending € 600,000 in a nursery that was not necessary and it closed when the important thing was the splitting of the Colegio Nuestra Mrs... Del Rosario and construction of a new Institute Valle de Leiva.

"Today we have neither, and we find a concerted school and Convention of the Ministry of Education that gives two lines of primary and secondary, leaving no options for a new public high school, and this is because right sees education as an expense, while for us it is an investment. "

In the afternoon a debate-conference on public education, which, in addition to the militants, principals, professors, teachers, members of the AMPAS, students and interested members of the education community attended took place.

Despite the pressures and previous from the Directorate General of Education statements, the call was successful, and each of these highlighted the problems pertaining to public centers Alhama, such as immigration, the situation of the dining school, the use of another language indiscriminately regardless of the capabilities of each student, or lack of attention to the most disadvantaged families.

The group of teachers said "feel alone" at this time and presented a set of proposals for improvement that we Socialists into account in our electoral program, such as the execution of more social service programs, more resources policy of equal opportunities support, workshops and direct those 160,000 euros reduction policy to the specific problems of each center costs.
