The Department of Health of the City of Alhama de Murcia in collaboration with the Health Centre of the town and the Spanish Association Against Cancer report the Campaign to Prevent Breast Cancer to be held in the town of Alhama de Murcia from 20 to January 30, 2015.
They are called to this appointment all women of Alhama de Murcia aged between 50 and 69 who two years since mammograms ago.
The Department of Health insists that "two years if you have not done mammograms ago and have not received appointment letter before January 19, 2015, goes through your clinic or doctor's office and ask."
The mobile unit in which the testing shall be located next to the Health Center Alhama during these last days of January.
The Directorate General of Public Health of the Ministry of Health and Social Policy, the Department of Health of Alhama de Murcia and the Spanish Association Against Cancer estimate that letter cited in this campaign and 1,233 women.
In 2016 there will be mentioned to all women in that age range from health card records (approximately 1,480 women).
Campaign to prevent breast cancer
The Directorate General of Public Health of the Ministry of Health and Social Policy in collaboration with the Spanish Association Against Cancer Health Center and the City of Alhama Alhama de Murcia launched in 1996, the Cancer Prevention Program Breast locally.
Early detection is done using mammography every two years for women between 50 and 69 years.
To facilitate access to mammography women new Prevention Program and invite you again to resist going, moves to town a mobile unit each year.
The participation rate in the town of Alhama de Murcia during the biennium 2011-2012 was 75%;
while regional participation rate is 70.1%.
Reduce mortality from this disease and enhance the quality of life of sufferers are its main objectives.
