The UCAM and the City of Alhama sign an agreement to improve the economic and sustainable development of the municipality (09/01/2015)

The Catholic University of Murcia and the City of Alhama this morning signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of supporting social and economic development of the municipality.

To this end, the agreement includes a set of initiatives fall into three main areas: supporting the training and development of local and university human capital;

promotion of employability and social inclusion of entrepreneurs, unemployed and disabled;

and collaborative actions to turn the town into a smarter, more sustainable city, through projects like Smart Food Alhama de Murcia Valley.

This town, along the lines proposed in the 2020 draft, develop a master plan that includes actions in the field of energy efficiency, mobility, public participation, good governance code, employment, health tourism, trade, environment and municipal efficiency .

These initiatives make an intelligent urban model, which will lay the foundation for future development of the city with a highly innovative and avant-garde.

The agreement provides a linguistic and technical training offer aimed at both citizens and local businesses.

The agreement was signed by the president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza;
