The Department of Culture and Heritage has unveiled a new edition of the course of the "School Theatre Alhama" 2014-2015.

In presenting the event was attended by the Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Carmen Maria Rodriguez and director of "School Theatre Alhama" José María Cánovas Vera.

Rodriguez remarked that the Department remains committed to the theater "at all levels" and thus gives a new impetus to the "School Theatre Alhama" supporting these two new amateur theater workshops organized by the school.

The workshops will have the same tuition as in previous years, € 50, and the deadline for registration for both workshops will open on September 22 and will close on October 31, starting classes on November 3.

José María Cánovas Vera, director of "School Theatre Alhama" pointed out how important it is that the Department of Culture and Heritage bet on the theater in Alhama and that "among the many benefits that can highlight is the theater that is educational, has healing power and makes us discover ourselves. "

These are some of the goals that these theater workshops that are within the School are based, said Vera Canovas.

José María remarked the words of the mayor explaining that "during the course 2014/15 will be two groups. A youth group that will go from 12 to 18 and a second group for over 18 years."

The two workshops will be held on Monday and for two hours a week of 19'00h to 21'00h.

The youth workshop will be given by Diego Martínez Soria in the House of Culture and adult Ramón Velasco Valverde in Movies.

The work of these workshops will be shown in June in what has already been called "Night of the road" and is part of the cultural program of Alhama de Murcia.

Canovas Vera wanted to point out that in addition to these workshops "School Theatre Alhama" develops workshops and other activities as the "Theatre Workshop Therapy" in the Therapeutic Center Fleets.

Also recalled is also beginning to work with the theater group 'Auger', "the flagship of the school in a new job that will culminate next June.
