Backed by hundreds of friends, by the Mayor of Alhama de Murcia, Fernando Alfonso Ceron and Antonio Penalver, the Councillor for Festivities and a number of councilors, Antonio Navarro was named last night Corremayo Mayor 2014.
After reading from Fernando Torres, a member of the Council of Celebration, where the written work of Antonio Navarro stood out to promote party Los Mayos, the Mayor received his Corremayo corremayos suit, custom made with colors their football team.
Also, the mayor of Celebration, Maria Jose Ceron gave a reminder of the holidays and a picture with your image corremayos.
Antonio Navarro, with good humor that stands him, encouraged everyone to continue to participate in the celebration of Los Mayos and stressed the importance of further developing the traditional rag puppets, the Mayos, who ultimately are the source and foundation of the party declared of Regional Tourist Interest.
After a short speech and shouting "you loose the wild beasts", Antonio Navarro gave way to corremayos parade.
