The Archaeological Museum of the Baths commemorates the day with afternoon and evening activities with the release of a video animation for children thinking know their history (15/05/2013)

On 18 May is celebrated as International Museum Day and on this occasion the city of Alhama de Murcia, through its Department of Heritage and Culture has prepared a series of chained events taking place during the afternoon and evening of Saturday 18 in the Archaeological Museum Los Baños.

Also, this day has been chosen to present a video animation that will help the little known history of over two thousand years in the museum collection alhameño.

The peculiarity of this video, which makes it different from what can be found in other museums, is that it is intended for children, so it has a child character makes writer-protagonist of the story.

Carmen Maria Rodriguez, councilor of the area, was aware of the events prepared accompanied by David Perea, film director who has been responsible for producing the above video.

"Termi", name of the protagonist of the video, comes from the future to the Baths and Museum is visiting their rooms one by one, discovering in them as they were used in Roman, Muslim and until the twentieth century.

Also, the Department of Culture and Heritage has prepared a schedule that, for the first time in the city develops.

It is a series of events strung together that will start at six p.m. in the domed hall of the museum with a magic show for children.

Also at six, for the elderly, will be a guided tour of the parish of San Lázaro Obispo by Professor of Art History at the University of Murcia, Manuel Pérez Sánchez Registration is required to assist in the Archaeological Museum of Los Banos.

At 1830 will give way to a concert of the string quartet "Madrigal" and the seven will begin a tour of the museum by its director, José Bathrooms Serrano.

Then, at 19:30 pm there will be a piano concert by José Miguel Lorente.

Finally, in the garden of the museum, at 2100 hours, will be again a magic show for everyone.

The evening will conclude with a chocolate fondue tasting for attendees.

Moreover, programming Museum Day includes activities other days.

So on Friday, May 17 program will begin at 18:00 with a "Storytelling" narrated by Juan Pedro Romera in the Domed Hall of the Archaeological Museum Los Baños, entry is free.

Continue at 20:30 with the presentation of the book "The Mirror of Narcissus" by Alfonso Martinez-Mena, a special edition prepared by Professor José Calero Heras, the event will take place in Room Domed Archaeological Museum with free admission Los Baños to fill seats.

The last of the organized activities will take place on May 25 with the awards ceremony of the Short Story Contest XIII Alfonso Martinez-Mena to be held at the Plenary Hall of Alhama de Murcia and will feature performances by the quartet saxophone "Promedium Sax Quartet".
