The City Council of Alhama de Murcia reports that, before the press reports and the study conducted by the City Council, the Chamber judgment of Administrative High Court of Justice of Murcia, and popularly known as "Teleport" does not affect our town since the provision that regulated this practice, and it is annulled by the judgment, has not been applied in the Municipal General Management Plan (PGMO)

As stated in our General Plan any protected area in the town of Alhama de Murcia is likely to generate urban use, this use is not regulated within our Plan unanimous decision of all municipal groups.

We note that the existence of a space with natural values, is undoubted advantages which public owned and not privately owned, and that his assignment as environmental compensation measure, not generating utilization, enables better management of this area, peaceful procedures for PORN, and other environmental instruments, ensures the future maintenance of the space, while allowing a certain capacity of regulated access of the population of Alhama to enjoy this space.

Also it should be noted that the definition of undeveloped land Specific Protection (NUPE) provided in our plan far exceeds the boundaries of the sites of Community importance (SCI) referred to the agreement of the Governing Council of the year CARM 2000.

This delimitation is also higher than expected in the Landscape Protection Zone PGOU Carrascoy adopted in 1998, based on the Special Plan Carrascoy and Valley) and assumes 100% delimitation Plan Natural Resources Management (PORN ) initially approved in 2005 and further introducing one guard band.

Finally we should mention that the position on environmental issues and actions of the City Council has been faultless, betting all corporations that have passed by the Session to give the greatest protection for what we consider one of the main attractions and potential of our town, its wealth environment.
