The plenary hall has been the venue for the presentation of the core projects of the new building for the IES Valle de Leiva and the construction of a new nursery Education Plan 3.
The event, which had been invited the entire school community, was chaired by the Mayor of Alhama de Murcia, Alfonso Morales Fernando Ceron and by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, Mark Sanchez Manuel Cervantes and CEO of Infrastructure and Educational Development, José María Ramírez Burgos.

The new school building has been designed with 16 classrooms for ESO, Bachillerato six classrooms and an auditorium, gymnasium, library, two outdoor sports courts, parkland, offices ....
The new building is planned on a site of 10,000 square meters, provided by the Council of Alhama, in New Espuña urbanization and the budget for construction is around 5 million euros.
It has two floors that split cycles, ie, the first will be located in the area of ​​the ESO and the second Bachelor.
It will have elevator, heating, two emergency stairs, green area with native vegetation, etc.
Moreover, apart from the main entrance, there will be a second entry for access to meeting facilities and sports courts so that this area can be used independently nonworking days.
Marcos Manuel Sanchez noted that this construction will be done during the term, without specific dates but ensuring that the Department's decision to build this building in this term and, although not currently being undertaken works of this caliber because the current situation, the Ministry of Education has invested in the project alhameño firm.
It has also taken the opportunity to announce that the 2013 budget is contemplated building the promised three new classrooms for college Virgen del Rosario.

For his part, Mayor of Alhama has apologized for failing to meet deadlines for the construction of these new institute.
However, expressed his satisfaction with the presentation this morning at which it became clear, in the presence of representatives of the Autonomous Community, the decision to build the new building for the Valle de Leiva.

New Nursery

The Ministry of Education launched the Education Plan 3 for construction, specifically, of nursery schools.
Alhama City Council wanted to take the plan and presented its proposal by providing for construction a plot of 1,500 square meters in the new development of drylands.
Alhama de Murcia was one of five municipalities in the region that were included in the Education Plan 3.
The mayor of Education has indicated that the City has wanted to be proactive and, although construction of a new nursery school is not a priority right now, yes it was decided to take advantage of the plan, noting that the village is a municipality constantly growing.
The building of the new nursery will plant 750 square meters and will include dining, classrooms and all the needs that currently required for a building to house children from 0-3 years.
