For the second consecutive year, the Municipal School of Music has offered Alhama 2nd Músic Alhama Intensive 2012 will be held from 2 to 7 July.
Carmen Maria Rodriguez, Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Jose Antonio Ayala, director of the school and teacher Manuel Garcia Leon, specializing in flamenco guitar and José Miguel Lorente, professor of piano, gave details of the initiative, which aims offer a series of interdisciplinary activities that help improve, expand and complete the musical education acquired by students during the course 2011/2012.
The offer presents activities related instruments trumpet, flamenco guitar and flamenco accompaniment, piano, clarinet, violin and musical pedagogy and learning through various methods.
These activities will be developed through workshops for beginners and musical training, individual lessons, group classes, codes and introduction to the management of musical programs.
Places are limited and students will be accepted in order of registration.
It costs 75 euros per student.
Carmen Maria Rodriguez stressed the importance of this initiative, "I hope that is consolidated and the summer music school in Alhama is a regional reference."
In these same terms are expressed Ayala who confirmed that the musical culture in Alhama "is growing by leaps and bounds and we already have 400 students in school."
For their part, teachers noted the great care taken in organizing this summer school, which last year in its first edition, and had a large number of participants.
