More than a thousand stories are submitted to the XXII Short Story Contest Alfonso Martinez-Mena (18/04/2012)

Because stories are submitted to the 1139 Short Story Competition XXII Alfonso Martinez - Mena preliminary to the jury.

Carmen Maria Rodriguez, Councillor for Culture and Heritage, has released the first statistics of the call that this year, has achieved a record number of participants doubling the number of submissions compared to the previous edition.

Most candidates for two awards of the call have come from Europe with 871 papers submitted, 261 have arrived in the Americas and two in Asia.

Moreover, of the 67 stories submitted by authors from the Region of Murcia, seven are from alhameños.

Stories have come from virtually all regions and noteworthy, the 116 in Argentina and 30 in Mexico.

As pointed out by the mayor, the stories are already being assessed by an initial jury will select a jury to deliver intermediate.

Finally, this intermediate jury will award the finalists for the final accounts shall deliver its verdict on May 5, late in the morning, when made public.

Will be Saturday May 12, in an act giving the Plenary Hall of the City Council when delivered the prizes.
