The Municipality of Alhama de Murcia has signed an agreement with the Merchants Association in the amount of 9,000 euros, an amount equal to that of last year despite the crisis.
The Mayor, Fernando Alfonso Morales Ceron signed this morning with President of the Merchants' Association, Martin Ceron, the agreement under which the Consistory delivered to the association an annual grant.
Morales Ceron emphasized the importance of local trade and the need to support it, especially in the current situation, to achieve not only its permanence, but also its development.
After the signing, Councillor of Commerce, Diego Huertas, noted that in addition to the contribution made through the agreement, the municipal budget also has a game of 6,000 euros to cover the cost of Outlet Fair organized by the merchants.
So far, this grant came from the Regional Administration.
However, due to budgetary constraints, this year the Autonomous Community will not deliver this aid so that local government will assume that spending.
This, explained Huertas, "intends to continue supporting local businesses, one of the main sources of the local economy."
Ceron Martin thanked the council and the City Council the effort by both parties.
