The City Council of Alhama de Murcia, through its Department of Culture and Heritage, carries out various activities whose purpose is the dissemination of municipal assets and, crucially, it is known among local residents.
File is the case of municipal program that annually visits with schools in the municipality.
This activity started on Tuesday 15 and has continued today, Wednesday 16 with the visit of 51 students of 5 th and 6 th grade, Ricardo Codorníu Public School.
The Councillor for Culture and Heritage Carmen Maria Rodriguez Canovas, welcomed them and took the opportunity to talk about the documentary heritage is preserved in the Municipal Archives and the importance for our municipality is the documentation which has been preserved to this days.
The activity selected on this occasion was: "The stones also speak ...."
Route through which students visit the shields placed on the walls of City Hall, the House of Terce and Old Town Square and the landmark of terms located in the Archaeological Museum of the Baths and the facade of the Church, thereby practice what was studied in class, learning the meaning of the symbols and trying to decipher the inscriptions on some of them.
