The Region and the Municipality of Alhama about 200,000 euros invested in improvement works in the town (03/11/2011)

The Ministry of the Presidency and the City Council of Alhama de Murcia have invested some 200,000 euros in the works of improvement in different streets of the village center, a project that aims to revitalize and improve the urban area of ​​the town.

The action corresponds to the Works and Services Plan 2010 that the Presidential run through the Directorate General of Local Government and Institutional Relations.

The works have involved the renovation and refurbishment of Cañada streets, mills, painter Zurbarán, Slaughterhouse, San Fulgencio and Virgen de la Candelaria.

The Director General of Local Government and Institutional Relations, José Antonio Blasco, accompanied by the Mayor of Alhama, Fernando Alfonso Ceron, today visited these actions and reported total investment amounting to 199,463 euros, of which the Autonomous Community provides 104,064 euros through the aforementioned Plan, and the remaining 95,135 euros, provided by the City Council.

The town of Alhama de Murcia is also running two other projects of the Works and Services Plan for the year 2011, involving the improvement and paving of the streets Federico Servet, Concepción, San Roque and Valens, as well as improved lighting in the district of Los Dolores.

The total investment for these projects amounts to 312,591 euros, of which 112,642 are subsidized by the regional administration.
