The works will start the second half of 2012 (24/10/2011)

On Friday, the mayor of Alhama de Murcia, Fernando Alfonso Ceron, along with the mayor of Urban Angel Canovas and the chief architect, Dominic Montserrat, moved to the Andalusian capital to maintain a working meeting with heads of works of the railway track passing through our town, meeting held at the headquarters of ADIF, located in Santa Justa Station in Seville.

The process for the construction of high-speed train was initiated in 2002 and since then there have been many queries that the neighbors have been forwarded to City Council.

The process was revived at the end of the last legislature, and today, the government team is receiving a large number of queries about the works and the problems associated with the works that are running today.

For this reason, the Mayor and Town Planning, accompanied by the head of the department ADIF transmitted to neighborhood complaints related to these works, as did state the municipal position on certain issues.

The first of these deadlines were concrete deck currently ADIF to begin work on the Alhama-Librilla variant, both in order to properly plan the actions of the southern part of town and, especially, to inform neighbors that have farms affected by these works, demonstrating that the works are expected to start the second half of 2012, once the necessary funds enable the Treasury, particularly in the month of June, the possible beginning of the same.

Also, in connection with the expropriation process, required by our City Council that these be reduced and confined to the delineation of the course, taking into account the considerable expansion of expropriation which was reflected in the final version to be announced previous government team and the indispensability of space dotacional Cotton, as a future recreational area referred to in our PGMO, in order to meet its urban development, open Cotton Street ushering in the area Day Center, day care and youth housing developments, and start work on the future of the entertainment arena resort ADIF what promised to review the project, marked restraining expropriation, and minimizing the number of people affected in this latest proposed review.

Echoing complaints from neighbors caused by the execution of the works and the damage it is causing in the old N-34 ° 0 and many local roads (Camino Real, the road Turret Caves, florets, and Majalejo Azaraque ...) that do not have a suitable platform for heavy traffic, it was a commitment to proceed with the settlement of these and other ways to be damaged by reason of the works as well as, and urgently, the repair roads necessary to provide connection to the Center of Alcoholics Totana fleet, and improve the avenue Celada firm that supports more traffic by closing the path of the Fleet, as long as air pass is completed, which will be given the highest priority, and enhanced signaling for the duration of the works of that path, always with the criteria of maintaining the territorial maximum permeability in our municipality.

Last but not least, we analyzed the proposal made by ADIF Station, reaching agreement to establish a third way, with gauge, which would allow the passage of not only nearby, but the possible shutdown of services such as Talgo Altaria trains or, in the future, and on-demand, including the AVE, without any reduction in the capacity of the commuter line, and able to take the claims that might occur if developed in our town Paramount theme park .

To highlight the excellent treatment by ADIF and the willingness responsible for rail infrastructure to meet the demands and improvements requested by the City in connection with the execution of these works in our municipality.
