La Peña Cocotazo unveiled this morning the name of the person who will call out the festivities of the town (10/09/2011)

The event took place in the city of Alhama and was present Mayor Alhama, Fernando Alfonso Morales Cerón and Celebrations Councilwoman Maria José Cerón and the protagonist of the act, Aledo Pepa Martínez.

He added that in his role as Councillor of the City of Alhama, always took great interest but with the delegation of Celebration, with which he worked six years, had a "special passion."

For his part, congratulated Councilwoman Celebrations to herald and highlighted the great work of Peña Cocotazo all these years.

Pepa Martinez Aledo

Aledo Pepa was born on July 18, 1954.

He graduated in Modern and Contemporary History at the University of Murcia, star of the Spanish Transition, as the youth of his time, participated in the demonstrations that were built around social and political change in the country.

Restless and concerned about society and in search of a better future, working with a group of local people to give a new impetus to the people.

That began his life serving as a councilor of the Celebrations alhameños, Cultural, Education, Youth, Tourism and Women.

Throughout his years as a delegate from various areas, gave the green light to the archaeological site of the Baths, which is now a museum, the rehabilitation of schools Espuña and Prince of Spain and built the school and Antonio Machado Miguel Hernandez institute.

Also restored the old slaughterhouse and promoted the party Los Mayos getting his statement of Regional Tourist Interest.

He also created what remains today as "Music in the Gardens of Alhama" and promoted the participation of clubs and groups in the organization of parties Alhama.

Today, apart from politics, dedicates his life to his business and the activities that previously could not enjoy, though, always following closely the avatar social, and cultural city.

Between 1987 and 1993 he was Councillor of Celebration, Youth, Culture and Education.

In 1991 he was appointed deputy director in 1993 regional and general Welfare of the Autonomous Community.

In 1993 he was Councillor for Women and in 1995, Councillor for Culture, Employment and Economic Development.

In 1999 he was again MP MP for regional and Murcia in Spain's Parliament.

Also that year, was a councilor in the opposition.

Curriculum also emphasizes his appointment as Violet Award in 1998 and the Award of the Year Cope Alhameña Espuña in 1993.
