II Naturolimpiada Sustainable Regional Park Sierra Espuña (25/10/2010)

Next Wednesday, October 27 at 10:00 hours, will take place in the city of Totana, the presentation of the Sustainable Naturolimpiada II Regional Park Sierra Espuña and its environment.

The press conference will be held by the Mayor of Totana and president of the Commonwealth Tourism Espuña, D.

José Martínez Andreo, and have the presence of members of the Governing Board of the Commonwealth Espuña Tourism, representatives of the General Directorate of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity themselves as representatives of the San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia.

During the ceremony will be presented to different activities to be undertaken in the districts of New Homes (Mula), Gebas (Alhama de Murcia), El Berro (Alhama de Murcia) and the Sanctuary of Santa (Totana), 6 and 7 November, to himself as 13 and 14 November.

On October 19, 2008, I saw the environment Sustainable Naturolimpiada the hamlet of New Homes (Mula), carrying out a sports competition that emerged with the aim of stimulating people Espuña environment in a healthy way and fun.

In the 2008 edition, which included the collaboration of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, through the General Directorate of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity, and various sports federations and associations, about 80 people participated in the activities of cycle route to adults and children Espuña environment, environmental guidance and route running.

The Sustainable Naturolimpiada born with the idea of boosting Espuña area and provide a means for the people around the Regional Park and the rest of the Region of Murcia, know this place of unique beauty and the parishes that are embedded in Sierra Espuña.

With Naturolimpiada, is intended to convey the idea that you can enjoy the natural environment without impacting.

That is why the design of activities, defines the run or enclosure, avoiding the competition runs through the protected areas and this will pass or not, by the Natural Space Environmental Agents.

Similarly sporting activities have limited the number of participants.

This edition, which organizes and assists the Commonwealth Tourism Espuña with the Autonomous Community of Murcia, count on among other innovations, with a hiking route to Sierra Espuña for people with visual disabilities, as well as an interpretive path environmental and family route.
