This past Saturday the interprovincial championships were held for the third year in a row, juvenile and cadet, fruit of the agreement maintained by the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia and the Athletics Federation of the Valencian Community, for the joint performance of athletics events .
On Saturday morning, the Indoor Track 'Luis Puig' of Valencia, hosted the 'Interprovincial Championship and Children's Alevín', where the Murcian female alevín team managed to climb the second step of the podium and proclaimed runner-up of the meeting.
Likewise, the Murcian male alevín team achieved a creditable fourth place.
In this selection, the athletes of the Athletics Club Alhama that participated were, in the feminine selection: Julia Hidalgo and Carmen González;
while in the men's team they did: Daniel Cerón, Ángel Roa and Andrés Belchí.
In the children's category, both the Murcian men's team and the women's team managed to become runners-up in the match.
Athletes of the Alhama Athletics Club that participated in the men's selection were: Miguel García, José Toledo and Álvaro Manzanera, while Lucia Alcón did it in the women's team.
Likewise, in the Track of Athletics 'Monte Romero' of Murcia, the 'Cadet Interprovincial Championship' was celebrated in the afternoon, where both the Murcian male and female cadet team managed to proclaim themselves championship runners-up.
Athletes of Alhama Athletic Club that participated in the men's selection were: Fco. Belchí, Achraff Hasouni, Javier Aledo, Pedro Muñoz and Adrian Alcón;
while in the women's team they did: Raquel Guerrero, Arancha Belchí and María Lorente.
In addition to these, Verónica Sánchez and Javier Aledo, coaches of our club, were part of the team of technicians of the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia who accompanied the participating teams in the championships held in Valencia and Murcia, respectively.
