Diego Conesa has traveled today to the capital of Spain, where he has met at the ADIF headquarters with the company's top representatives.
In the meeting they have transferred the available information on the new stretch of track through which the commuter train will circulate, as well as the data on the new high-speed route to Almeria and on the freight train of the Mediterranean Corridor.
As indicated by the direction of ADIF, after the topographical studies of recent weeks, the layout is just going to suffer deviations from what was expected.
"In principle, the main area of ​​action close to the new train station will be maintained and the entire line of the urban area will be elevated," says Conesa.
According to the company, it is expected that the works can be started at the beginning of 2019 and they would have a duration of close to 3 years, in a section that goes from Sangonera to Lorca.
At the meeting Diego Conesa has also transferred to ADIF the neighborhood complaints of the streets adjoining the El Pozo Food factory due to the noise and odors caused by the continuous entry and exit of trucks to this company.
On Sunday evening, December 3, the Mayor and several councilors held a meeting with affected neighbors, where they checked on site the high passage of heavy vehicles, and committed to initiate contacts with the company and ADIF to find solutions that minimize the acoustic and odor impact.
In this regard, the Mayor has proposed ADIF to enable the service route that runs through the back of the company, currently unused, either for the entry or exit of trucks.
Those responsible for the Railway Infrastructure Administrator have transferred their willingness to study the petition in the coming days and assess whether this initiative can be undertaken prior to the start of the works of the new route.
Regarding the route of the train as it passes through Alhama, ADIF has indicated that the information and final plans will be available in about two months.
From that moment, notifications and publications prior to the final expropriation and assessment of the land will begin.
The City Council is available to neighbors who have been interested in recent weeks to transfer any news.
This Wednesday morning, Conesa faces two meetings arranged in the Ministry of Public Works.
The first one will be to be interested in the request of subsidy with charge of 1.5% cultural for the last phase of rehabilitation of the Castle of Alhama.
Then he will hold a meeting with the general director of Roads in relation to the layout of the third lane of the A-7 as it passes through Alhama.
It will explain to the technicians of this direction the importance of contemplating the roundabout at the exit of Alhama towards the Cartagena field in the final project.
In the afternoon, the Mayor will make the presentation in Fitur, on behalf of all the municipalities of the Sierra Espuña Tourist Association, of the new features of this entity, which are finalized for 2018 in a stronger and visual edition on old music scheduled for this summer (http://ayuntamiento.alhamademurcia.es/noticia.asp?cat=7175).
On Thursday morning, Diego Conesa will attend the international fair to present and put on the Day of the Region of Murcia and regional tourism, especially the offer of the municipalities of the northwest.
