On Wednesday 18 May the Department of Social Services, through its program of support and psychosocial care, organized a meeting between users, family and technicians social services in order to gather the concerns, questions and suggestions from the audience.
This event was attended by the mayor, Diego Conesa, and the councilman of Social Services, Felipe Garcia, who participated actively in the meeting addressing the needs of all attendees and listening to their proposals to optimize and improve care for this group.
The meeting was very productive, since the decision to increase the hours of work of professionals to provide better service and support to users and their families and also specified that, from September, a vehicle used was taken adapted and donated by Red Cross exclusively for the transport of center users.
The Department also plans to start an occupational project and lecture programs for families proposing new activities and meetings where you can listen to all parties, in this way it will be possible to work as a team in a pioneering initiative psychosocial rehabilitation of people with diseases mental.
Wednesday's meeting took place in a very friendly atmosphere where experiences were shared and collaborative relationship between the council and families suffering from these problems narrowed.
