RELEASEGiven the attitude shown in the ordinary plenary session this Tuesday by the councilors of the Popular Party, the PSOE of Alhama wants to clarify the following:1 ° In the note issued on October 26, we made an assessment of the trajectory of its spokesperson, María Cánovas, from June 2019 to date, in no case is it a personal attack nor are the reasons mentioned or valued of the change in the spokesperson.2 ° The controversy has come directly from his family and close environment, in some cases due to an erroneous interpretation of the note and in most of them directly due to not having read its content.3 ° The Socialist Party has been defending the rights and freedoms of women for more than 140 years.4 ° In any case, the attitude shown by the councilor and her group in the last part of the plenary session, stating that she was not going to let the socialist spokesperson speak and launching clear threats for the next three years of the legislature, only corroborate the content of the note.5 ° We understand that motherhood can be perfectly compatible with the functions of the spokesperson.
However, the Socialist Party of Alhama, as it cannot be otherwise, respects the decision taken by this councilor.6 ° We wish María Cánovas the best in the final stretch of her pregnancy and before the birth of her new child.7 ° We reiterate in building bridges with the new spokesman, José Pedro Otón, to reach agreements that are beneficial for all the residents of Alhama, focusing the political debate on the needs of the alhameños in the face of a very serious health and economic situation like the one we are going through.
They will find us to join forces and wills, but in no case to contribute to generating controversy with hoaxes and sensationalist content like the one they have been launching in recent weeks.
