The Alhama de Murcia City Council has signed an agreement with the organization Cáritas Diócesis de Cartagena in order to favor and facilitate the realization of the reception, accompaniment and basic needs coverage project 'Comesca', co-financed by regional income tax funds.Cáritas Diócesis de Cartagena is a non-profit entity and an official body of the Church to promote, empower and coordinate the exercise of Charitable and Social action, as well as the favoring of actions aimed at the socio-labor integration of people in situation or risk of social exclusion, all within the scope of the Diocese of Cartagena.This agreement will be in effect until December 31, 2021.With this agreement, the organization undertakes to develop the 'Comesca' project and maintain actions aimed at reducing social inequalities that facilitate the social inclusion of the beneficiaries and favor coordination mechanisms between municipal Social Services and Cáritas.The City Council, through the Department of Social Welfare, and the entity will designate a person to carry out the dialogue.The coordination meetings will take place at least every six months, which will be agreed by the people in charge of the entity and the City Council, and can be carried out online or in person.
