to 7:30 p.m. From today, Friday, October 16, until next October 29, the El Pósito building will host the XI Zangamanga exhibition of users of the municipal center for Psychosocial Care. The new director of the center, Mari Carmen Contreras, the mayor, Mariola Guevara, the councilor for Social Welfare, Nani Navarro, and the art therapist, Ruth Menzel, have made a tour of the exhibition. The municipal center for Psychosocial Care has continued to work during these months of health emergency.
Users have adapted to the circumstances, keeping in contact to continue meeting the centre's objectives. With the help of technology, they have carried out the activity at home through WhatsApp group and telephone communications, and also in the center in person, once the new normal has been reached.Zangamanga has a kite as its logo, symbolizing order within chaos.
The activities carried out by the users, together with the professionals, have been multiple throughout 2020: psychological care, follow-up tutorials, magazine workshop, mental agility workshops, story workshops, readings, virtual visits, etc.
The sample represents the importance and adaptation to these tasks. The center has had to adapt and change the way it works, but they continue to form a group unit.
The exhibition tries to express that, despite the physical distance and not being able to meet all the members day by day, as they did before, they are still united in the city they have created and with the flight of their active kite.
