The Councilor for Education, María José López, has met with the supervisor of the BCM Art Management Group, Ignacio Sorolla, and with the coordinator of monitors in charge of this service, Reyes Hernández, to discuss the implementation of the Morning Proximity Service for the 2020-2021 course. This municipal initiative for the reconciliation of family and work life will not be able to begin on September 14, as planned, due to waiting for a response from the health report, sent to the General Directorate of Health of the Autonomous Community, for its viability . During the course, every week, from Monday to Thursday, the deadline will be open for parents to register their children online.

On Fridays the final lists will be released to begin the following Monday.

The minimum enrollment in the service will be one week.

Registration will begin on Monday, September 14, and the service will begin on Monday, September 21 at 7:30 a.m.

in the morning.

The doors will remain open until 7:40 am for security reasons. The Department of Education will apply a strict contingency plan, with the following measures:• The reduction of ratios is presented as an essential act to avoid contagion, passing 15 students per monitor, taking into account that children are from 3 years old to 6th grade of primary education. • Specific spaces are established in each center (the management teams will designate them) that will not be used first thing in the morning and in this way they can be disinfected by the City Council cleaning services for later use during the school day. • The temperature of the children will be taken at their entrance to the center. • Common materials cannot be used, only those that each student brings from home and they will only be used individually. • Parents will not be able to enter the school, children will be picked up by the monitor at the entrance.• The boys and girls will comply with the protocol of each center, as well as the monitors.• The service is aimed at parents who are working and their working hours are incompatible with taking their children to school. • Single-parent families who are working.• Members of a family in which one of the spouses works and the other takes care of a dependent person. • Parents will present the supporting documentation at the time of the request. • Work contract of the father and mother. • Certificate of the working hours of the father and mother. • Family Book. • Certificate from Social Services that one of the spouses cares for a dependent person.

• If the number of applications exceeds the number of places and there is a tie in the scale, a weekly draw will be held, based on the applications submitted, taking into account the number assigned by the computer application. • This City Council has coordinated with the company BCM Gestión de Servicios SL so that the monitors comply with all the health protection measures required by current legislation and the orders issued by the Ministry of Education and Health, providing protective equipment and training in protocols against Covid-19, as well as conducting serological tests."From the Department of Education, parents are asked to understand the adoption of these restrictive measures since our intention is to bet on a good conciliation.

We have to comply with all the health protocols for the total safety of the children and the monitors, ”says López.
