The Councilor for Education, María José López, explained today the start of the course in the two public nursery schools of the municipality, scheduled for this coming Monday, September 7, together with the director of the EI Gloria Fuertes, Margarita López, and the director from CAI Los Cerezos, Carolina Moreno.María José López has indicated that the management teams of both centers "have been working all summer with great professionalism and dedication, preparing a contingency plan so that the entry of children is in the safest way." The ratios have been lowered, with the necessary teaching staff, and an exhaustive cleaning plan with daily disinfections will be maintained, but maintaining the quotas without increasing. The two schools will open a registration period during this month of September in person, by requesting an appointment. The councilor has made a call for reassurance to parents: "There is no zero risk, but we will do everything necessary in coordination with nursery schools so that they are safe places for our little ones."The contingency plan is covered by the legal bases of the Education and Health ministries of the Autonomous Community, where all the control and disinfection guidelines are included. All the educational staff of the center have received specific training, corresponding to the entire protocol of security measures in the center.

In addition, the mask will be used throughout the day.The guidelines to be followed with families and children when entering and leaving the center will be:Maintain a safe distance.Access to the center will always be through the outdoor patio, direct to their classes.Take children's temperatures before entering.Use of hydroalcoholic gel.Frequent hand washing throughout the day.The children will wear specific footwear at the center.Bubble groups will be created, that is, they will always stay with the same classmates and the teacher throughout the day. There will be no activities between different classes. The material will be of exclusive use for each class.Toys will be disinfected daily, discarding toys that are porous and cannot be well disinfected. The patio and the psychomotor classroom will be used independently by group-classroom, that is, a classroom will come out, when they are collected it will be disinfected and another classroom will come out.The dining room service will be carried out in shifts, always maintaining the bubble group. In the event that a child has symptoms, he or she will be isolated in a classroom with a teacher, the family will be notified, and the family will have to contact the pediatrician, following the directions set by health. In the event of a positive in the center, as there are bubble groups, only that classroom will be affected, so the rest of the center will continue to function normally.

If there is a positive in the close family of a child, the family will notify the center to inform and the child will not attend class until authorized by the health service.Communication with the center will be by appointment in case of having to go to it.

Families and the teacher will communicate through a digital agenda. The directors of nursery schools have highlighted the importance of returning to the routine in the 0 to 3 year stage "not only for curricular aspects, but also for the social and emotional development that right now is the most important thing."They have also taken the opportunity to encourage families who are afraid of the current situation, to contact them to explain in detail all the measures for their peace of mind and begin this educational journey.
