Ancient music comes to life again in Sierra Espuña (24/07/2020)

| The ECOS Festival in Sierra Espuña will broadcast micro-concerts in streaming, international conferences and activities to promote the territory | The ECOS Festival, organized by the Sierra Espuña Tourist Association, the University of Murcia and the Early Music Project association, in collaboration with the Institute of Cultural Industries and the Arts of the Government of the Region of Murcia and Acción Cultural Española AC / E, returns this July to fill the natural and historical enclaves of Sierra Espuña with ancient music, with a dynamic digital proposal, the conferences as well as live concerts, offered by artists from the Murcia Region of great recognition in the national panorama, with an adaptation of the programming to the restrictions of movement and capacity resulting from the health crisis. The Association of Sierra Espuña has wanted to bet on the continuity of the festival in a digital way, thanks to the broadcast on its social networks, between July 24 and August 2, of video-clips recorded in the most emblematic places in the six municipalities Sierra Espuña by early music groups closely related to the festival.

The premiere of these micro-concerts will be accompanied by "notes to the digital program" made by well-known disseminators such as Clara Sánchez (Radio Clásica), Miguel Ángel Cajigal (El Barroquista) or Mario Guada (Codalario Magazine).Live concerts are scheduled to take place in parallel to the festival, at the Aledo Tower, with the concert by Olalla Alemán and Jan van Outryve and their program "In a garden" or the Hermitage of the Virgen de los Remedios de Pliego , with Silvia Márquez, who will perform “Clavicembulante”.

Both will be organized thanks to the CREA Plan: “Noches al Raso” from the Institute of Cultural Industries and the Arts of the Government of the Region of Murcia, and you can enjoy a wine, courtesy of Bodegas Juan Gil, and a tasting of products ecological COATO, as well as tourist packs at the Hotel Jardines La Santa or La Parrilla de Pepe de Pliego, with the possibility of spending the night and dinner.

Concert tickets, at a cost of five euros, can already be purchased from this Tuesday through the festival's website: ecosfestival.comThe concerts will be broadcast during the summer by the collaborating media of the ECOS Festival, such as Radio Clásica, Onda Regional de Murcia or the Latin American classical music channel Allegro HD.EUROPEAN PROJECTION AND ECOS LABThe ECOS Festival has recently been selected to join the European Network of Early Music (REMA Résau Européen de Musique Ancienne), which brings together the most important festivals on the international scene, making it the sixth Spanish member of the network.

The ECOS Festival was defined by Albert Edelman, President of REMA, as "a young festival with innovative ideas, essential for the cultural development of the European regions".Under the motto "WHAT CAN OLD MUSIC CONTRIBUTE IN THE 21ST CENTURY?", The University of Murcia, with the support of Acción Cultural Española AC / E, has organized a series of international meetings between emerging groups and personalities from the music sector ancient, with the aim of inspiring young ensembles to build an artistic proposal relevant to society around heritage.
