| A month has passed since the President of our country decreed the state of alarm caused by the pandemic by COVID-19 | From the first moment we transmitted through a press release, that from IU-Verdes Alhama, we defended a more solidary way out of the Covid-19 crisis and our intention to contribute to the way out without leaving anyone behind.

In this sense, we valued positively the initial measures adopted by the Government, prioritizing the safety and health of people, as well as providing more resources with social and economic measures to help families and the socio-economic fabric of the country as a whole.

Also that at the local level we would work to the best of our ability so that this crisis is not paid for by the usual ones. For this we propose, like other groups, a motion with proposals for the adoption of urgent municipal measures of social protection and economic stimulus in the face of the covid-19 crisis aimed at: People and families in a situation of economic and social vulnerability. Local retail trade and self-employed workers from other economic activities other than retail. Measures aimed at promoting and strengthening the network of healthcare associations and non-profit entities. Tax measures. The proposals presented by all the Groups were submitted to a report by the municipal technicians, to see how to articulate it in legal and viable measures, through agreements. This situation of pandemic and confinement, decreed in the State of Alarm declaration, has caught us all on the "wrong foot".

Also to our City Council that, at the administrative level, was not prepared with the necessary tools for the operation of its representative bodies: Plenary, Governing Board, Information Commissions or Board of Spokespersons. This has not been an impediment so that, with the means at our disposal, we have continued to work and coordinate with the municipal government and the rest of the groups, through video conferences, on the proposals for socio-economic measures to be adopted by our City Council. It seems that this is going to be solved and soon we will have a computer application that, with all the legal guarantees, allows the holding of the representative bodies mentioned: Plenary, Governing Board, Information Committees or Board of Spokespersons. In fact, we have already been notified of the call for an Informative Finance Commission, for next Tuesday, April 21, at 5:30 p.m., as the first step in holding a plenary session where the proposed proposals are discussed.

Which have been outlined through the various videoconferences that we have been maintaining the Mayor, the municipal spokesmen and the councilors of Government directly involved in them. At IU-Verdes Alhama, we hope to reach agreements that contribute to improving the situation of our neighbors, from the maneuverability that we have in the Local Administration, contributing in what has become known as the "Social Shield", with which We intend to do our bit to try to ensure that no one is "thrown away" in this crisis. We continue to maintain the validity of our commitment to row in the same direction, maintain institutional loyalty and be generous in the proposals.

In this sense, we have asked the Municipal Government to study the possibility of providing a toilet, rest and refreshment point in our locality for transporters, as well as to work on the possibility of facilitating the provision of take-away meals, while respecting the regulations.

. This is not the time to let our guard down, we cannot trust ourselves, we must continue to insist on maintaining the hygienic measures recommended by the health authorities, also those referring to the use of protection means, keeping distances, minimizing displacement. Finally, again show our appreciation to the health, police, civil protection, cleaning workers, food shops, farmers, ranchers, transporters, etc., who maintain essential services, guarantee health care, public order and the supply of basic necessities.
