PcComponentes has donated 5 portable equipment and 25 headsets to promote the call management activity that the volunteer teams of the Emergency Unit are developing in the Autonomous Operations Center (COA).

The Spanish Red Cross has been active since the beginning of the emergency by COVID 19, the Autonomous Operations Center, with the contact numbers 96822222 and 968118029, as well as the email centro.coordinación@cruzroja.es as fundamental support for the line of emergencies 112.

In this way, all calls received by the single emergency telephone number 112 with social issues, requests for food, medicine or other basic needs of the population are being managed through this resource and referred to the different social services of the municipalities of the Region. Murcia or are directly assumed by the humanitarian institution itself if necessary.

The Spanish Red Cross volunteer teams have already managed thousands of calls through this service, which incorporates psychological care, both for emergency responders and for the general population.

This solidarity action corresponds to the collaboration agreement that the humanitarian organization and the leading ecommerce in online sales of technological products signed in 2018, after years of close collaboration in the field of humanitarian emergencies.

By virtue of this agreement, PcComponentes provides support, in the form of technological material (computers, tablets ...), software installation and training, in order to facilitate the response of the humanitarian organization to society in the context of major emergencies.

The Spanish Red Cross thus maintains the participation of PcComponentes in its protocols for action in emergencies and in the response times to them.
