The Department of Social Welfare reports the opening of the application period for aid for supplies of electricity, gas and water.
These grants are intended to alleviate the effects of energy poverty, guaranteeing the supply of electricity, water and gas from the usual home, to those people and families who do not have the financial resources to pay for these supplies.
The deadline for submitting applications for this assistance will remain open until the available budget is exhausted or, at most, until Wednesday, April 15.
For the processing of these grants, it is necessary to request an appointment to be attended at the Municipal Social Services Center located at 10 Los Baños Street, or call 968 631 895, during business hours from Monday to Friday from 9 : 30 h.
at 2:00 p.m.
From the Social Services center, information on all the requirements to be fulfilled, documentation that is necessary to submit and the corresponding forms will be provided.
Some of the requirements to be fulfilled are the following:
Be registered in the municipality of Alhama de Murcia at least 3 months before the request.
Documentary proof that the situation of need (receipts owed) are for the habitual residence.
Provide the necessary documentation for the assessment of the file depending on the type of assistance requested.
Do not own real estate except for the usual home, which provides income.
To be the holder of the supply contract, or to prove the payment obligation (eg through a rental contract)
During the last 3 months, the family unit must not exceed the average gross income, which are detailed on the city council website:
