On November 22, 23 and 24, IU members and supporters were invited to participate in the referendum on the government pre-agreement between United Podemos and the PSOE.
The voting began online on November 22 at 10 a.m. and ended on 23 at 22 p.m.
The classroom was held at the IU-Alhama location on the 24th between 11 and 13 hours.
Based on the 10-point program pre-agreement and the latest General State Budget agreement, the referendum question was: do you agree that members of the United Left participate in a coalition government between United Podemos and the PSOE?
Overall result of the United Left militancy referendum on the government pre-agreement between United Podemos and PSOE:
Votes in favor: 457 (87.21%)
Votes against: 46 (8.78%)
Abstentions: 21 (4.01%)
Participation: 524 voters (34.59% of the total 1,515 census)
In Murcia:
Votes in favor: 10,281 (88.07%)
Votes against: 1,185 (10.15%)
Abstentions: 208 (1.78%)
Participation: 11,674 voters (31.20% of the total census of 37,416)
In Alhama the participation was 67% and the votes in favor of 100% to form a progressive coalition Government that places Spain as a reference for the protection of social rights in Europe, as citizens have decided at the polls.
The priority axes of action of the progressive coalition government will focus on responding to the main challenges facing Spanish society as a whole:
Consolidate growth and job creation.
Combat the precariousness of the labor market and guarantee decent, stable and quality work.
Work for regeneration and fight corruption.
Protect public services, especially education, including the promotion of nursery schools from zero to three years old, public health and dependency care.
Shielding of the pensions of our elders: ensure the sustainability of the public pension system and its revaluation according to the cost of living.
Housing as a right and not as mere merchandise.
Bet on science as an engine of economic innovation and dignify the working conditions of the sector.
Recover emigrated talent.
Control the spread of bookmakers.
Fight against climate change: the just ecological transition, the protection of our biodiversity and the guarantee of a dignified treatment of animals.
Strengthen small and medium enterprises and the autonomous.
Promote reindustrialization and the primary sector.
Provide from the Administration the basis for the creation of wealth, welfare and employment, as well as the digital impulse.
Approval of new rights that deepen the recognition of people's dignity as the right to a dignified death, euthanasia, the safeguarding of diversity and ensure Spain as a country of memory and dignity.
Ensure culture as a right and combat precariousness in the sector.
Promote sport as a guarantee of health, integration and quality of life.
Feminist policies: guarantee the security, independence and freedom of women through the determined fight against sexist violence, equal pay, the establishment of equal and non-transferable paternity and maternity leave, the end of trafficking in human beings for the purpose of sexual exploitation and the elaboration of a Law of labor equality.
Reverting depopulation: determined support for the so-called empty Spain.
To guarantee coexistence in Catalonia: the Government of Spain will have as a priority to guarantee coexistence in Catalonia and the normalization of political life.
To that end, dialogue in Catalonia will be encouraged, seeking formulas of understanding and encounter, always within the Constitution.
The State of autonomies will also be strengthened to ensure the adequate provision of the rights and services of its competence.
We will guarantee equality among all Spaniards.
Fiscal justice and budgetary balance.
The evaluation and control of public spending is essential for the maintenance of a solid and lasting welfare state.
The Government will promote social policies and new rights under Spain's fiscal responsibility agreements with Europe, thanks to a fair and progressive tax reform that brings us closer to Europe and in which tax privileges are eliminated.
