eLPOZO ALIMENTACIÓN has organized its III National Contest of Professional Ham Cutters, which is consolidating itself as one of the most important in the country for the prestige and quality of its participants and jury.

The winner of the contest has been the Sevillian based in Toledo Carlos Muñoz, while the Murcian Javier López has been in second place, and third place has been for Jerez Juan Carlos Garrido, who has also won the Best Grammage award.

The Creative Dish award has been awarded to Daniel Gómez

In this contest, whose main objective is to honor the ham, nine cutters from all over Spain have participated.

The jury has been composed of 4 members, responsible for evaluating the work of each participant, specifically, technical aspects such as the profiling of the piece, style, cleanliness, placement and order of the work table, hammering and hammering, straightness of the cut, size and thickness of the slices, effectiveness and efficiency, general plating and the presentations of each part (mace, babilla and tip) as well as the creative one.

Legacy Gran Reserva hams have been cut.

The fat provided by ham is mostly unsaturated, with a high concentration of oleic acid, the same as that of olive oil, known for its beneficial effects on bad cholesterol.

The contest has been directed by Miguel Prieto and the members of the jury have been Roberto Arques, José Antonio Artes, Andrés Parra and Pablo Martínez.
