The regional government provides inaccurate data on the investments made in Alhama, where the salaries of professors and doctors are reflected, but does not deal with the public programs and services that correspond to it by law, and which are paid with the municipal budget for years.

The Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia has transferred this week to a regional environment the amounts allocated to the territory of Alhama de Murcia in terms of health expenditure, education, social services and employment, works and public safety.

According to this information, they amount to 44,143,683 euros, distributed as follows: "22.1 million went to health spending; 18.7 million for educational infrastructure; 1.4 million for social services and employment; 1.3 million for the Works section; 300,000 euros in Citizen Security; and 200,000 euros for the Environment. "

The mentioned amounts are made up, since they include expenses such as payrolls or health workers, among others.

However, they completely "forget" to mention the expenses in half a hundred programs and services that are carried out in the municipality, such as the maintenance of the two nursery schools, which by law it is their responsibility to assume.

All of them produce a cost of more than three million euros, of which barely 50% is covered with the subsidies received and the user co-payment.

The City of Alhama de Murcia has been investing every year more than 1.5 million euros in these improper powers that should be fully assumed by the regional government.

This irresponsibility of the Autonomous Community, directed for 25 years by the PP, now with Citizens and with the support of Vox, forces the Consistory to have to update the main rates of the Fiscal Ordinances for the year 2020. If the regional government assumed these amounts, that update would not be necessary, so from the PSOE of Alhama we demand the three municipal groups on the right to be responsible, and stop lying to all the neighbors of Alhama.

We ask you to ask your regional deputies to implement as soon as possible a Law on Local Financing in the Assembly - to which President López Miras committed - with which our municipality would cease to be an indirect funder of the Community.

The local government has pledged to update the Fiscal Ordinances down once the regional government assumes the expenses that correspond to it by law.
