Each year, the Department of Culture and Heritage organizes visits to the children's and youth room of the municipal library with the aim of encouraging the use of it and promoting the habit of reading as a means of leisure and enjoyment.
All this, from the program to promote reading 'Meet the library', which has been carried out since 1997.
All Alhama schools and nursery schools are part of this project that emerged, as its name suggests, to get to know the library of our town and immerse the little ones in books at a very young age, between 2 to 5 years.
In the same way, this program also affects other age groups and helps to encourage visits in general and arouses the love of reading from parents and relatives.
This 2019-2020 course visits began last Tuesday, October 23 with CEIP students Ricardo Codorníu and continued the next day, 'Library Day'.
These visits will take place between the months of October 2019 and February 2020, with the visit of almost all Alhama schools and nursery schools being planned.
