ECOEMBES and the Association for the Custody of the Territory-ACUDE have signed a Collaboration Agreement to carry out actions in the municipal farms of La Alcanara and Quebrada Beatriz, located in the Saladares del Guadalentín, one of the most unique natural areas in the Region of Murcia.
In November, and within the framework of this Agreement, there will be a day of cleaning and removal of waste in the Beatriz Creek and a tarays plantation in La Alcanara, to contribute and reinforce the actions contemplated in the previous Collaboration Agreement between ACUDE and the City Council of Alhama de Murcia.
Although the La Alcanara farm does not suffer excessively the problem of waste, since members of the Society of Hunters Las Cañadas de Alhama collect remains that they find on their visits to the farm, in Beatriz Creek there are black spots where they accumulate and that it is necessary to gradually withdraw.
On the other hand, the Department of Environment of the City Council has welcomed this activity and will collaborate with the initiative giving all the facilities for its development.
Likewise, ACUDE wants to invite Alhama groups to participate in the conference, since it is the responsibility of all citizens to contribute to maintaining public farms in good condition.
ACUDE considers the involvement in conservation actions of those groups that use the natural environment for their activities, such as hunter societies and mountain and hiking clubs, as essential, since the use necessarily implies responsibility for their conservation.
With this activity, ACUDE and ECOEMBES intend to initiate a line of collaboration to help alleviate the problem of waste on municipal farms and to improve the natural environment of Alhameño.
